OAPEC was founded in 1968 as a specialized regional inter-governmental commodity organization under an agreement concluded, outside the framework of the League of Arab States, among oil-rich, oil-exporting Arab countries.
تشمل المشاريع المقترحة ما يلي: إصلاح المرافق المدرسية، وإضافة ملاحق للمدارس، وتشييد مدارس جديدة، وهدم المدارس القديمة وإعادة بنائها، وصيانة المدارس، وتوفير الموارد الخاصة بالمرأة، والمشاريع العامة غير الداخلة في هذه الفئات، مثل المكتبات المدرسية ومختبرات العلوم.

The Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) was founded in 1968 as a specialized regional inter-governmental commodity organization under an agreement concluded, outside the framework of the League of Arab States, among oil-rich, oil-exporting Arab countries. The aims of the Organization are to foster co-operation among its members and unify their efforts in pursuit of optimal development of all aspects of the petroleum industry, to enable members to benefit from their natural resources and implement projects of common interest, and to create an integrated petroleum industry through Arab economic integration.
أنشئت منظمة الأقطار العربية المصدرة للبترول (أوابك) في كانون الثاني/يناير 1968، كمنظمة إقليمية سلعية متخصصة ذات طابع دولي، وذلك باتفاقية خارج مظلة الجامعة العربية، بين أقطار عربية تمتلك وتصدر البترول، بهدف التعاون في ما بينها، وتوحيد جهودها لتحقيق أفضل السبل لتطوير الصناعة البترولية في شتى مجالاتها، وللإفادة من مواردها وإمكاناتها لإقامة المشاريع المشتركة، وخلق صناعة بترولية متكاملة عن طريق التكامل الاقتصادي العربي.
