• “Diagonal” or “Bias Ply” describes a pneumatic-tyre structure in which the ply cords extend to the beads and are laid at alternate angles substantially less than 900 to the centreline of the tread.
  ”ثنية قطرية" أو "مائلة" تصف قوام الإطار بضغط الهواء الذي يمتد فيه شريط الثنية إلى الجزء الخارجي، ويوضع بزوايا متبادلة تقل كثيراً عن 90 درجة لتثبيت الخط الأوسط للجزء الخارجي.
• “Belt” (9) applies to a radial ply or bias belted tyre and means a layer or layers of material or materials underneath the tread, laid substantially in the direction of the centre line of the tread to restrict the carcass in a circumferential direction.
  "Belt الحزام" (9) يطبق على الثنيات نصف القطرية أو الإطار مائل الحزام ، ويعني الثنية أو الثنيات من المادة أو المواد الموجودة تحت سطح الإطار، والتي توضع بدرجة كبيرة في اتجاه خط الوسط لسطح الإطار لتقييد الهيكل في الاتجاه المحيطي.
