In the period from July to November 2002, the Committee considered requests from Bahrain and Jordan for the release from the Rafidain Bank of Iraq of frozen funds, which were said to belong, respectively, to the Arab War Risks Insurance Syndicate, a pan-Arab insurance organization, and to the Jordanian-Iraqi Company for Industry.
وفي الفترة من تموز/يوليه إلى تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2002، نظرت اللجنة في طلبين من البحرين والأردن للإفراج عن أموال مجمّدة في مصرف الرافدين العراقي يُقال إنها تعود على التوالي إلى الشركة العربية للتأمين ضد أخطار الحرب، وهي شركة تأمين مشتركة بين البلدان العربية، والشركة العراقية - الأردنية للصناعة.

The Secretariat-General received reports from a number of pan-Arab organizations on the efforts, projects and training courses currently being implemented in Iraq. These organizations included the Arab League Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ALECSO), the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development, the Arab Academy for Banking and Financial Services, the Arab Industrial Development and Mining Organization (AIDMO), the Inter-Arab Investment Guarantee Corporation, the Arab Atomic Energy Agency (AAEA), the Council for Arab Economic Unity (CAEU), the Council of Arab Ministers of the Interior and the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD). While several organizations presented proposals to support a number of Iraqi sectors, the security situation remains the principal obstacle to activation of the role of Arab organizations and institutions in the reconstruction of Iraq.
- أكدت لجنة التنسيق العليا للعمل العربي المشترك في اجتماعاتها على أهمية قيام مؤسسات العمل العربي المشترك بدور فعال في عملية إعادة الإعمار وتفعيل المشاركة العربية في الاجتماعات الدولية التي تعقد في هذا الإطار، وقد تلقت الأمانة العامة تقاريراً من عدد من المنظمات العربية حول الجهود والمشروعات والدورات التدريبية التي بدأت في تنفيذها في العراق ومن بين هذه المنظمات المنظمة العربية للتربية والثقافة والعلوم، الهيئة العربية للاستثمار والإنماء الزراعي، الأكاديمية العربية للعلوم المالية والمصرفية، المنظمة العربية للتنمية الصناعية والتعدين، المؤسسة العربية لضمان الاستثمار، الهيئة العربية للطاقة الذرية، مجلس الوحدة الاقتصادية، مجلس وزراء الداخلية العرب، المنظمة العربية للتنمية الزراعية، كما قدمت عدد من المنظمات مقترحات بشأن دعم عدد من القطاعات العراقية، وتظل الحالة الأمنية تشكل عائقاً رئيسياً أمام تفعيل دور المنظمات والمؤسسات العربية في إعادة إعمار العراق.

As regards concern for youth, the Arab Republic of Egypt organized pan-Arab games last November under the auspices of the Arab League in which Arab youth competed at top level in a number of sports over a period of 14 days, in a sporting spirit.
وفي مجال الاهتمام بالشباب نظمت جمهورية مصر العربية بإشراف الجامعة العربية في شهر تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر الماضي فعاليات الدورة الرياضية العربية التي تنافس فيها الشباب العربي على المراكز الرياضية الأولى في مختلف الألعاب بروحٍ رياضية وعلى مدى 14 يوما.
