Beryllium is used as an alloying additive to copper and nickel (up to a maximum of 2%) for springs, electrical contacts, aircraft landing gear bearings, plastic moulding tools, oil field exploration and drilling equipment, spot-welding electrode support arms and safety tools.
يستخدم البريليوم كمضاف لصناعة السبائك وهو يضاف إلى النحاس والنيكل (بمقدار أقصى هو 2%) لعمل الزنبروكات للاتصالات الكهربائية ورمان البلي في عجلات هبوط الطائرات، وكأدوات لصب اللدائن، ولاستكشاف آبار البترول ومعدات الحفر ، واللحام النُقَطي وأذرع حمل النواقل الكهربائية وأدوات الأمان.
