• The twelfth session of the Commission on Science and Technology for Development, held in Geneva from 25 to 29 May 2009, in reviewing the progress made in the implementation and follow-up to its recommendations, provided an important forum for Cuba once again to denounce the application of the embargo policy by the United States Government, in particular unilateral coercive measures against the development of communications technologies and access to information, as well as the implementation of a policy of aggression against Cuba's radio-electric spectrum, which violates the conclusions adopted at the two phases of the aforementioned Summit.
  وشكلت الدورة الثانية عشرة للجنة المعنية بتسخير العلم والتكنولوجيا من أجل التنمية المعقودة في جنيف في الفترة من 25 إلى 29 أيار/مايو 2009، من خلال تحليلها للتقدم المحرز في تنفيذ ومتابعة نتائج مؤتمر القمة العالمي المعني بمجتمع المعلومات، إطارا هاما لتكرار إدانة كوبا لسياسة الحصار التي تفرضها حكومة الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، ولا سيما تطبيق التدابير القسرية الانفرادية بشأن تطوير تكنولوجيا الاتصالات والوصول إلى المعلومات، فضلا عن تنفيذ سياسة عدائية ضد المجال اللاسلكي لكوبا، مما يتعارض مع الأحكام المعتمدة في مرحلتي مؤتمر القمة المذكور.
