Such measures include modifications and/or restrictions on gear or fishing methods including, inter alia, mesh size restrictions, net length requirements, fishing depth requirements, minimum and maximum size limits, turtle-excluding devices, by-catch reduction devices, juvenile and trash excluder devices, requirements for reporting lost gear and restrictions on fishing during spawning seasons or at certain times of day, when threatened or endangered species are present or in areas where spawning or nurseries are known to occur.
