Under the international Sea Launch project, Russian manufacturers and specialists also took part in the development and launch of three satellites (Thuraya-2 for the United Arab Emirates, and EchoStar-9 and Galaxy-13 for the United States) from a sea platform by a Russian-Ukrainian rocket of the Zenit type.
