Because accurately characterizing the sedimentation rate and sediment mixing is likely to be difficult, the project should be focused on the proposed atomic absorption spectrophotometry work and on gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (“GC/MS”) analyses.

The project should use chemical fingerprinting analyses using gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (“GC/MS”) and atomic absorption spectrophotometry techniques in order to investigate possible links between potential changes in microfaunal community structure and pollution resulting from Iraq's invasion and occupation of Kuwait.
