At 1120 hours a party of United Nations observers and UNIFIL personnel found four reinforced-concrete cuboid obstacles five metres inside Lebanese territory at principal boundary pillar 6, south of Alma al-Sha`b.

Three minutes later, a patrol from the Indian contingent [of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL)] arrived from the direction of the Khiyam lowland and stopped near the Israeli soldiers at the cuboid structure.

Four Israeli workmen carried out maintenance work on the barbed-wire strip north of the occupied town of Ghajar, and Israeli forces installed concrete cuboid obstacles to the south-east of Abbasiyah using a hoist.

A party of United Nations observers and personnel from the UNIFIL Irish contingent also set out to ascertain the removal of Israeli encroachments at intermediate boundary pillar 44, 2.5 kilometres south-west of Yarun (five concrete cuboid obstacles five metres inside Lebanese territory), at principal boundary pillars 16 and 17, south-east of Rumaysh (an excavator inside Lebanese territory close to the blue line) and at principal boundary pillar 19, south-east of Yarun (a trench 15 metres inside Lebanese territory).
كما قامت دورية من المراقبين الدوليين والكتيبة الأيرلندية بمهمة التأكد من إزالة الخروقات الإسرائيلية عند المعلم (B 44) 2.5 كلم جنوب غرب يارون (خمسة مكعبات باطون على مسافة 5 أمتار داخل الأراضي اللبنانية).
On instructions from my Government, I have the honour to inform you that at 0130 hours on the night of 3/4 July 2002 an Israeli patrol halted at the eastern gate of the Metullah settlement opposite Al-Qa'im mosque in Kafr Killa. Soldiers alighted from HMMWV (“Hummer”) vehicles, opened the gate and went through the technical fence into Lebanese territory. Six of them stood in front of the gate and another went and stood on a concrete cuboid structure some seven metres from the technical fence.
بناء على تعليمات من حكومتي، أتشرف بإبلاغكم بأن دورية إسرائيلية أقدمت ليل 3 و 4 تموز/يوليه 2002 عند الساعة 30/1 على التوقف أمام بوابة مستعمرة المطلة الشرقية المقابلة لمسجد “القائم” في كفر كلا، وترجّل جنود من سيارات طراز “هامر” وقاموا بفتح البوابة المذكورة، ودخلوا منها إلى خارج السياج التقني في الأراضي اللبنانية، حيث وقف ستة منهم أمام البوابة، وتوجّه آخر ليقف على مكعّب من الأسمنت يبعد حوالي سبعة أمتار عن السياج التقني.
