What Iraq did was to speak of a plan for technical measures to halt the theft by drilling wells on the Iraqi side in order to halt the transfer of oil and to present irrefutable facts backed by documents, maps, reservoir data, the monitoring of well pressures and movements of drilling and completion rigs on the Kuwaiti side.
إن ما صرح به الجانب العراقي هو الحديث عن خطة تتضمن إجراءات فنية لوقف السرقة من خلال حفر آبار على الجانب العراقي لوقف هجرة النفط، بالإضافة إلى عرض حقائق دامغة تثبتها الوثائق والخرائط والمعلومات المكمنية ومراقبة ضغوط الآبار وحركات أبراج الحفر والاستصلاح في الجانب الكويتي إذ أن جميعها تشير إلى قيام الكويت بسرقة النفط العراقي والاستحواذ عليه.
