Many men will not believe howsoever you wish ,
« وما أكثر الناس » أي أهل مكة « ولو حرصت » على إيمانهم « بمؤمنين » .

وما أكثرُ المشركين من قومك -أيها الرسول- بمصدِّقيك ولا متبعيك ، ولو حَرَصْتَ على إيمانهم ، فلا تحزن على ذلك .
So call on God with exclusive obedience , howsoever the unbelievers may dislike it .
« فادعوا الله » اعبدوه « مخلصين له الدين » من الشرك « ولو كره الكافرون » إخلاصكم منه .
Allah vindicates the truth by His commands , howsoever much the guilty might detest that . '
« ويحق » يثبت ويظهر « الله الحق بكلماته » بمواعيده « ولو كره المجرمون » .
And most of the people , howsoever you might so desire , are not going to believe .

ويثبِّت الله الحق الذي جئتكم به من عنده فيُعليه على باطلكم بكلماته وأمره ، ولو كره المجرمون أصحاب المعاصي مِن آل فرعون .

We are ready to actively support change, howsoever gradual, in the right direction.
وكنا على استعداد لدعم التقدم، ولو كان تدريجيا، في الاتجاه الصحيح.
