The invasion of the Iberian Peninsula had begun and, gradually, practically the whole of Iberia was overrun.

The State of Iberia was founded in around the fourth century B.C. in the Kura River Valley in eastern Georgia.

Airport landing fees generated ₤1.9 million in 2007-2008.8 In September 2008, the Spanish airline Iberia discontinued flights between Madrid and Gibraltar.

Another seven companies, including Iberia, Alitalia, Air Jamaica and Daewoo, were sanctioned because their subsidiaries in the United States, according to the United States Administration, violated the blockade laws.

In the third quarter of 2006 the cruise ship company Pullmantur was wholly acquired by Royal Caribbean, the second largest United States cruise line, while Grupo Iberostar (Iberojet, Iberojet Internacional, Viajes Iberia and Iberworld) was purchased by the Carlyle financial group, most of whose shareholders are United States citizens. As soon as these Spanish companies were sold, they severed their ties with Cuba.

As long ago as 24 March the Office told the authorities of a paramilitary base on “La Iberia” farm, municipality of Tuluá (Valle del Cauca); by the time this report was completed, however, it had not been notified of any action taken in response.

On 6 March two teachers of La Iberia school, Alejandro Melchor Suárez and Gildardo Tapasco Calvo, in one of the indigenous communities of the municipality of Riosucio Caldas, were taken from the school and killed by members of a paramilitary group.
