If it is agreed in the IEPS (Initial Executive Project Summary) meeting that special action is needed, the indigenous peoples development plan or project component should be developed during project preparation.

Special equipment and facilities are being provided in these centres, such as multi-sensory rooms, hydrotherapy pools, sophisticated I.T. hardware and software etc. Children with special needs in the mainstream will then be provided with an individualised educational programme (IEP) and proper support given to mainstream classroom teachers and to the parents of the students.
