Maternity hospitals were repaired and provided with equipment, ambulances and clinics in Kabul and rural areas.

90,804 tested in 14 St John Ambulance eye clinics in South Africa, of whom 63,933 were supplied with spectacles and 6,003 were referred to hospitals.

The provision under this heading reflects requirements for the establishment of the Mission's medical facilities, including the acquisition of: equipment for 5 level-I clinics; 5 ambulance modules; 4 emergency room modules; 5 environmental health modules; and 1 aeromedical evacuation module.
