I now look forward to the early reconvention of the bilateral Border Committee, as President Assad has committed, and the conclusion of a border agreement, which would also prove an important and useful vehicle to address the stated concerns of the members of the Security Council over allegations and reports of illegal arms transfers across the border, in violation of Lebanon's sovereignty and of resolutions 1559 (2004) and 1701 (2006).
