7.1 By note verbale of 30 May 2002, the State party provided information on the judicial interpretation of parliamentary privilege and on the final decision of the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal in the Citron v. Zündel case.

7.3 In July and September 1996, the Toronto Mayor's Committee on Community and Race Relations and Sabina Citron, a Holocaust survivor, lodged two parallel complaints against the author under section 13 (1) of the Human Rights Act, alleging that by posting discriminatory material on his website, the author “caused repeated telephonic communication that was likely to expose Jews to hatred and contempt”.
