You see some of the humanitarian problems stemming from thesiege most clearly when visiting hospitals, as I did with thecharity Medical Aid for Palestinians, of which I am President. Life-saving drugs are in short supply, and equipment often does notwork because of power cuts or the absence of spare parts.
