• The Committee has recommended that States parties enforce anti-trafficking legislation and strengthen community-based mechanisms to prevent and monitor child trafficking and exploitation, including through local committees, and, at the same time, undertake preventive actions to improve living conditions and economic opportunities, in zones of departure as well as high-risk zones, paying particular attention to economically disadvantaged families.
