The banderol regime introduced to reduce the smuggling of tobacco into Europe is proving effective and has reduced imports by 44 per cent.
وقد أثبت نظام الطوابع الجمركية الذي طبق للحد من تهريب التبغ إلى أوروبا فعاليته، وانخفضت الواردات بنسبة 44 في المائة.
The increase is due to more experienced and trained officers, better control of the cigarette market because of the requirement for banderols under the tobacco regulation; the deployment of mobile anti-smuggling enforcement teams and improved information flow from neighbouring customs administrations.
وتعزى هذه الزيادة إلى وجود موظفين أكثر خبرة وتدربا وإلى تشديد الرقابة في سوق السجائر للتأكد من وجود اللواصق على علب السجائر التي يستوجبها القانون المتعلق بالسجائر؛ ونشر أفرقة متنقلة لمكافحة التهريب وتحسن تدفق المعلومات الواردة من إدارات الجمارك في البلدان المجاورة.
