The additional requirements of $130,700 under this heading were mainly due to the restrictions in movement imposed on UNFICYP personnel in the north since June 2000, which resulted in overcrowding in Camp San Martin (Sector 1), necessitating the unbudgeted purchase of prefabricated accommodation units for this camp ($83,600), and increased utility requirements owing to higher electricity prices than budgeted, higher consumption of electricity owing to the increase in the number of air conditioners and electrical heaters in operation, as well as increased costs for generator fuel, particularly in the north (106,500).
